Membership Profiles

Chapter 522 is located in Pinellas County, but our members come from a much wider geographical area. In April, 2010 we completed a survey of all our members and created the following profile of where our members live:

- 28% in St. Petersburg

- 16% in Clearwater and Largo

- 7% in Palm Harbor

- 21% in other Pinellas County cities

- 13% in greater Tampa Bay cities

- 9% in other Florida locations

- 6% outside of Florida

We also looked at our members in terms of their commitment to the Vietnam Veterans of America. From that analysis we developed the following profile:

- 64% of are members have Life Memberships in the VVA

- 15% of our members have memberships expiring in 2010

- 17% of our members have memberships expiring in 2011

- 4% of our members have memberships expiring in 2012 or 2013

The members of Chapter 522 are always interested in finding new members who share the same core principles as our current members. We encourage prospective new members to attend one of our monthly meetings or to participate in any of our activities. We are a very active chapter involved in a wide range of events and activities. We are confident that every Vietnam veteran can fins something of interest in our programs. The first step is often the most difficult but it also might prove to be the most rewarding.
