Chapter 522 publishes a monthly newsletter for our members as well as non-members who are interested in the activities of the chapter and its members. The newsletter has been published every month since March, 2008. Prior editions can be provided upon request.

The name of our newsletter is Five Double Deuce which signifies the number assigned to the chapter by our national organization. The newsletter is a full-color publication that typically has 12 pages of content.  It is published near the end of the third week of each month. An electronic version of the newsletter is sent to all members who have requested a copy using their personal e-mail addresses. It is also e-mailed to friends and associates of Chapter 522 who have expressed an interest in reading the newsletter each month.

A limited number of hard copies of the Five Double Deuce newsletter are also printed each month. These copies are available at our regular monthly meeting for members and guests who do not receive the electronic version. All extra copies are given to the veterans from Bay Pines Regional Medical Center who are invited to attend a the Grouper Tuesday lunch hosted each month by Chapter 522 and VFW Post 4256. Other copies are hand carried by members to some of the offices at Bay Pines.

The primary goal of the newsletter is to provide information to our members about recent activities within the chapter as well as details concerning future events and activities. We try to publish informative articles about medical benefits available to veterans as well as news about our current military. We like to include some humor and thoughtful content in the form of pictures, cartoons, quotations, and other public domain content directed toward military personnel - either active or retired.
