Florida VVA State Council Meeting - March 7-9 at the Orlando Holiday Inn, Universal Studios. Meeting of all chapters from the state of Florida. All are welcome to attend. |

Honda Grand Prix - April 5-7, Chapter 522 in conjunction with the PVA will work concessions at the St Petersburg Grand
Prix as a fund raising effort to sustain chapter sponsorship activities.

Mac Dill Airfest - May 3 and 4 VVA 522, again in association with the PVA, worked concessions at this
awesome showing of aircraft and and United States Services presentations. One of
our own was able to step foot again on the aircraft he rode on the day
it was used for
transporting our released POWs from Hanoi. An inspiring and
emotional day. |

2008 Dwight Harrah Memorial Golf Tournament - This tournament supports our scholarship foundation. This year we will award 3 scholarships of $1500 to Pinellas County students. The tournament will be held Sunday May 18th at 8AM @ the Eagles Golf Course, 16101 Nine Eagles Drive, Odessa, FL 33556. M. Bousher - 813 917-2688 is the event coordinator. |
| Memorial Day Services - May 26th @ Bay Pines VA Hospital. The chapter also does a poppy drive. |

First Friday Optimist Club - September 5th, a fundraiser to support the many activities we have to support our veterans. |

Make a Difference Fishing Tournament - a civic event where we volunteer to help out at a fishing tournament for exceptinal children at Pier 60 in Clearwater.

Grouper Tuesday - usually the first Tuesday of the month we buy fish lunch or dinner for patients at Bay Pines VA Hospital. Patients are transported to the Holiday Isle Post. |
Vet Center Support - We support the St. Pete Vet Center with financial assistance for Veterans in need. |
